Trancoso is a magical place, beyond anywhere else. Its roots are bare feet, friends chatting, freedom, the party of life within each of us. It’s a place to watch the time, to look up to the sky and down to the earth. It’s the celebrations of São Brás and São Sebastião. You must see the moon from the Quadrado, there is no photograph that reflects its beauty. Over here the moon is greater!
You don’t choose Trancoso. Trancoso chooses you.
The Quadrado is the real square, it’s the seed, the sitting around, the chatting. It used to be the chicken, the donkey, the snake, and the doorstep gossiping. The bar, the Secos e Molhados store, the coffee crop. It has changed but keeps alive in the memory that we want to preserve, in the memory of those who lived to tell the story!
Over here we live outdoors, and we want our guests to experience our favorite ways to enjoy it. Share our secrets so that you may live Trancoso through our eyes: the river, the earth, and the sea!
